CHANGE, Where to start?
You think it’s time to CHANGE your life and you just don’t know where to start?
Well, let do a quick check-in to see where this is coming from…
How are you feeling?
What’s got you thinking that it’s time to throw in the towel?
Are you feeling annoyed, frustrated and irritated?
Maybe it’s just the state of affairs the world is in right now…. which is to understand. It’s a lot to take in. Depending on how you look at things, it can be very depressing.
Could it be your husband or partner who hasn’t given you the attention you crave? Or your boss that’s always making you feel undervalued inadequate. Then, on top of it all, you’re overworked.
Let me start by SAYING, Regardless… you have a right to feel the way you feel!
Too many women are way-to-familiar and live with depression, self-doubt, self-criticism causing them to self-sabotage and stay in things that do not serve their best interest way too long.
So based on what’s happening in your life… are you ready for a change or are you just tired and need time for yourself? Only you can decide.
IT COULD BE THAT SIGN that you’ve been waiting to receive. The one that will finally get you going in the direction of “real” CHANGE in your life. Becoming the remarkable woman you are meant to be!
We all know that when women are being at their fullest potential and owning their amazing stuff, you notice them… and you want some.
Their heart-centered, self-loving way, makes them attract like magnets!
READY… to step into your LIGHT AND GLOW? Are you willing to reinvent & live the life you were truly meant to live?
It takes planning.
Leaping without a plan can be costly both personally and financially.
I say this because taking the time to know what you want is what I did.
It took me two years to become untangled from the life and business I had created and loved for over two decades; as it should have.
It not only helped me to get to know what I wanted in the midst of my hectic life it also helped me to have minimal regrets once the untangling was complete.
Here is a list of 5 things you can start doing TODAY that can help you to get to know what you want and transition into your life CHANGE:
Number one: Start looking and acting the way you want to feel in your new life.
Start by describing the way you wanted to feel once you arrive in your new life, in actions words.
EXAMPLES: I want more Adventure in my life. I like learning something new. I want to remember how to feel sexier more alive in my body.
Then do something every day to make you feel that way. If you want more adventure in your life, then be more adventurous. Learn something new like salsa dancing. Visit a nearby city as a tourist. Try some exotic foods that you’ve never eaten before.
In my case, I decided that I wanted to explore being more feminine, sexy in my daily self-care and dress. I found out that I loved it! This little exercise turned out to be a HUGE for me. It helped me access something I didn’t even know about myself, and I was longing for it. (I think it played a big part in me choosing to live in saucy Spain.)
Try it on see how it feels take your new life out for a test drive. You will learn a lot more about what you do and don’t want by doing this.
Number two: Start nourishing your soul, nourishing your body.
I mean that. Start moving your body and eating better.
Exercise. Do anything but make sure you like it enough to do it often! Try dancing at home or in class, do yoga or Pilates just focus on moving that stagnant energy of the “old you” and see what you uncover.
When I started doing yoga and moving my body, I was surprised by how many emotions came up for me doing certain poses in my yoga class. Those same intuitions carried over into my journaling. Something had become unSTUCK.
I believe firmly in the body and mind connection. It’s become the backbone teaching in my yoga classes. The body is full of clues that can help guide you in being more evident in what you want.
(With that said maybe even looking into what you’re drinking and how much you are sleeping.)
Number three; In your home, at your desk any place you spend lots of time start making your environment feel like you want it to feel, in your new life.
Maybe you want more romance in your life, a warm, cozy nurturing room to journal in, happy music to listen to in the background. A home full of good organic food.
FOR EXAMPLE, you can place photos of destinations or the interior spaces you would like to see yourself living in. Put them in frames where you can see them often.
Start investing in yourself by putting flowers in your home/office and beautiful smelling candles or spices. Any influences that are in-line with your new dream life. Start exposing yourself to them NOW.
After all, that’s how your home will feel when you move to the South of France. Why wait?
Number four; Start wearing the expression and have the attitude of the person you want to become in your new life.
Let’s face it you might be so sick of how things are now that you are walking around, unhappy, with a sharp tongue and a bitch. Let the people who are in your life, NOW see how happy, calm, and relaxed you are in your new life’s attitude.
Let the people who are in your life, NOW see how happy, calm, and relaxed you are in your new life’s attitude.
Start today creating your new life with positive energy; it will help when you share with people your decision of CHANGE. They are more likely to support and not challenge you.
If you don’t feel like it right now, FAKE IT! That might mean a smile or say something kind to someone. Just get started, it will come.
Change is a chance for you take responsibility for your life, your destiny. Getting out of your head and seeing where and how you’re affecting the world. Be responsible and mature in your change/growth when it comes to the other people in your life.
Being grateful for where you are right now and not be that begrudging person who’s always looking towards the future.
It’s the process of the “change-journey” so enjoy it!
Number five: Play hooky from your present life.
Go ahead and disconnect. Then try it for a lot longer periods. That means from phones, emails, and social media. Not to say that they will not be where you are going, but it is a big distraction if you want to make progress in your CHANGE.
If moving to another country is in your future maybe see a gorgeous film or documentary and indulge in the idea of living that life. Research, hang out in the bookstore and look at what you can find more on the subject. Take a class in something you are interested in.
Create your group/tribe or community where you can share with like-minded people. That is what I did, and it made such a difference!
What if you discover you are bored or are missing something? GOOD! Then you can decide what aspects of your old life should be included or you would lose if you didn’t have it in your new life.
Everything should be evaluated as if you were cleaning out an old closet.
Should it stay or go?
You get to decide.
