You may not condone or enjoy Bull Fighting but you have to admit the clothes are Hot! I love the look!! The way they fit, the extraordinary details and the craftsmanship… is amazing! From the first moment I saw them, I wondered what they would look like on the female body. I was thinking mine, but…Sarah Jessica Parker beat me to the punch.
S Moda (a publication of the newspaper El Pais in Spain) featured Sarah in a version of the traditional jacket and cape worn by the Matador. It may have been designed for a man but just look how beautiful and sexy it is worn a woman’s body!
By the rich hand beading and the beautiful hand embroidery, each piece is one-of-a-kind. Years and years of a trade, learned and handed down is evident in every piece.
The tradition of Spanish lace is know all over Europe and amazingly beautiful to see in-person. We are entering into the fall fashion season I am seeing rich brocades worn with velvets looking fabrics all over. The image on the left is a reminder of the pageantry still practiced today on somber occasions and celebrations in Spain beautifully translated into wearable fashion. I adore this contemporary take on the “Women in Mourning.”

This is my favorite. Before I came to Spain I adored this style of hat. (The veil is a modern addition.) It is a hat worn by Spanish horsemen and women.
This year I plan to wear a version of the above photo. Although… with the skirt a bit shorter and opaque and, of course, with chunky black boots! What do you think?
“Ole Spain”
To your fine history and in lending a hand by being an inspiration in modern fashion. So modern, elegant, and sexy.
